Hobsons Bay 360 #13: See the best of Hobsons Bay with our bus tours around town

We’re taking a proactive approach to prioritise creating a positive economic environment for businesses and people who visit, live and work in Hobsons Bay.

Incorporating our vision in the newly adopted Economic Development Strategy 2023-28 a Community Bus Tour has been launched. This tourism initiative originally came about with a Pitch Your Project submission and Council worked closely with Visitor servicing staff to create a bus tour route that we felt would be engaging, would cover as much of the municipality as possible and offer opportunities to showcase our natural assets as well as our key tourism precincts and heritage sites.

The result? A fantastic new way that local and tourists can see the best of Hobsons Bay!

The tours take in the highlights of Hobsons Bay’s maritime history, parklands, beaches and foodie hotspots including Williamstown Botanic Gardens and beach, Truganina Coastal Park and Newport Lakes. As of February 2024, the tour has been proving popular, with 135 passengers enjoying the sights and attractions of Hobsons Bay.
