Suggest a Purchase

Hobsons Bay Libraries welcome suggestions for new items to add to our collection.  All requests and suggestions for stock will be considered for purchase if they fit within Hobsons Bay Libraries' Collection Curation and Management Statement(PDF, 826KB).

Customers can requests up to six items per month.

 

Step 1: Check if we already have the item

Before making a suggestion, check the library catalogue to see if we already have a copy of the item you are interested in.

There is no charge to reserve items already in our collection. When your reservation is ready to be collected you will be notified by email, SMS or post, and the item held for you for seven days.

 

Step 2: The library doesn't have a copy, and you would like us to get it

a) If the item has been recently published (within the last two years, or two months for eBooks and eAudio books) then you can suggest a purchase using the form below.

b) If the item is more than two years old or falls outside the range of our Customer Request Guidelines(PDF, 58KB) we may be unable to purchase the requested item.
