Built in 1888 and once a rural outpost of Melbourne’s developing west – the Old Laverton School holds significance as one of the last remaining examples of a single room schoolhouse.
Visit the old classroom and learn about its varied history as a schoolhouse, private residence and now as a community and cultural facility, shedding light on the development of the Laverton and Altona Meadows community we know today.
