Want to learn to sew, but not sure where to start?

Whether you’re a complete beginner or have some experience, this class will set you up to begin your sewing journey.

No sewing experience is required.

For all ages, under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

You will learn:

• How to use basic controls and how to adjust them to get the best results

• How to use accessories that come with a machine and understand their uses and applications

• Basic sewing machine maintenance

• A variety of techniques including, straight stitching, zigzag stitching, hand sewing, ‘quilt-as-you-go’.

Using these techniques you will complete your own project to take home.

Want to learn on your own machine? You are welcome to bring you own machine along if it is in good working order and has been recently serviced. The facilitator will not be able to fix your machine during this session.

This is a duplicate session of the event for 13 April. If you have already booked for 13 April, please do not book this session as it will be the same introductory class.  This also ensures others have the opportunity to attend.
