Sutton Avenue Kindergarten - a new kindergarten for Altona North

Sutton Avenue Kindergarten is a new two-room modular kindergarten providing 66 new kindergarten places in Altona North. It was funded by the Victorian School Building Authority with financial contribution from Hobsons Bay City Council. The new kindergarten, built on the site of the former Eastona Park Primary School, features:

  • two modern & full furnished kindergarten rooms
  • two office / planning spaces
  • one kitchen
  • a new outdoor area with a double swing, mud kitchen, rock stack with water pump, raised castle, cubby and a mudstone water rill in sandpit.

2025 Timetable for Sutton Avenue

Both groups are mixed age (three & four year olds)

Group 1 Monday 9.30am to 2.30pm 
  Tuesday 9.30am to 2.30pm
  Wednesday 9.30am to 2.30pm
     
Group 2 Thursday 8.30am to 4.00pm

    Sutton Avenue Kindergarten is participating in the Central Registration Scheme. Registrations can be completed on the Parent Portal or using a hard copy form.

    The children from Emma McLean Kindergarten used Sutton Avenue Kindergarten in Term 4, 2023 whilst their centre in Spotswood was being rebuilt. They have now returned to their new centre.

    In 2024 the kindergarten will be used for Council-run children’s programs.
