Volunteer with the Food Services team to help deliver healthy food to members of the Hobsons Bay community. Based in Williamstown, our friendly staff train and support you in your role and provide you with the opportunity to work within a team of vibrant volunteers.

Hobsons Bay Visitor Information Centre: phone 9932 4313

Are you passionate about tourism in the west and our local area? Become a Visitor Information Centre volunteer! Hobsons Bay City Council operates the Hobsons Bay Visitor Information Centre, an accredited centre that is located at Commonwealth Reserve in Williamstown, right where the ferries come in. The centre is staffed by trained volunteers and staff, and is a great resource to visitors looking to find out about what is happening in Hobsons Bay and throughout Victoria too.

Interested in working with diverse seniors groups in Hobsons Bay? Volunteer with us to help support activities aimed at enhancing the skills required for daily living and providing physical, intellectual, emotional and social stimulation. We also have opportunities for volunteer drivers to take Council clients to pre-arranged venues. These can be day trips or weekly destinations.

With five easy to reach locations, volunteering at your local library will enable you use your skills and experience to contribute to a thriving and active community space. Volunteers can help with programs and events, the home library service, technology and training support. Environmental Volunteering: phone 9932 1266

Discover more about your local park by becoming an environmental volunteer. Friends Groups are community-based groups located at various sites throughout Hobsons Bay. By volunteering with one of the Friends Groups you can contribute to the conservation of your local parks. You will also be creating greater public awareness of the value and use of these areas for present and future generations.
