Young people programs

If you are high school age between 12 and 17 years old, our series of young people programs are for you!    

Hobsons Bay Libraries offer young people spaces to connect, get creative and grow lifelong learning skills. Our weekly programs are designed on a drop-in basis, no prior bookings are required. We hope to see as many young people attend our programs as possible, everyone is welcome. 

Please note that a responsible parent / carer should accompany children while they are attending our programs.  
Parents / carers are responsible for a child’s welfare as well as monitoring and regulating their behaviour. 

Term 2 programming (Teen Makerspace and Show Up & Write) finishes Friday 26 June. 

Teen Makerspace

Drop into our free teens only Makerspace for young creatives. Discover a range of equipment and resources to explore your interests and creative projects.

You'll be supported by our friendly Youth Librarian to access both low tech crafting resources and high-tech equipment.

For high school ages 12-17 only. Bookings not required.

Show Up & Write

SU&W – Show Up and Write sessions are safe spaces to gather and grow healthy writing habits so you can do the thing you love (or need) to do!

For high school ages 12-17. Bookings not required.
