Shortlisted applicants will be interviewed by a panel of staff related to the role. This may include the manager and/or supervisor, and/or a member of the team in a similar or senior role.
Interviews take approximately 45 minutes to an hour and will draw on behavioural-based interviewing techniques. Senior positions and other applicable positions within Council may be required to undertake psychometric testing and or may require a second interview.
Should you be selected as the preferred candidate, you will be contacted to provide a minimum of two professional references. Your references are required to have supervised you in previous roles. In some circumstances references from other professional relationships may be accepted.
All new employees will be required to complete a six month probationary period before their employment status can be confirmed as permanent. The requirement for a probationary period will be stated in the position description and is also included in the letter of offer.
