Phoenix Westgate Migrant Centre

Phoenix Westgate Migrant Centre is a non-profit and government funded organisation. We were formerly known as Migrant Resource Centre Westgate Region (MRCWR). We were also commonly referred as Westgate Migrant Resource Centre (WMRC) by the community. Our centre was established in 1973 as a specialist service agency for residents with diverse ethnic, cultural and linguistic backgrounds living in the Hobson's Bay area. In 1992, our centre joined the Migrant Resource Centre (MRC) Program, which opened up a new and dynamic chapter in our long history. In nearly forty years of our existence, our centre has grown and has become a central point for new migrants in need of assistance and support with a diverse range of settlement matters.
