Laverton Community Education Centre (LCEC) is the education and training arm of Laverton Community Integrated Services, a not-for-profit, community-managed service organisation. LCEC Is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 6408), a registered Lean Local Organisation and a provider of the Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) and Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) program.
LCEC provides Vocational Education and Training to support entry into employment for Personal Care Assistants. Early Childhood Educators, Disability Support Workers and Teacher Assistants. It provides English as an Additional Language courses in the AMEP and SEE programs for newly arrived and long-term migrants. LCEC also promotes pathways to accredited courses through its pre-accredited (ACFE) programs. Programs are delivered across multiple locations and are primarily based in Laverton and Williamstown.
The centre provides education to over 700 community members each year, including women returning to work, newly arrived and long term migrants, people who experienced interrupted schooling, humanitarian visa holders and people with a disability.
