H5 bird flu has now been detected in Hobsons Bay (Thursday 1 October 2026). Please be vigilant and if you see sick or dead birds or wildlife, follow the guidelines of the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action.

Council provides two community signboard sites for local not-for-profit organisations or community groups based in Hobsons Bay to display and promote upcoming events.
Community signboard sites:
There is an administration fee payable of $50.00 per booking required prior to erecting your signboard. To erect a community signboard at one of the locations listed above, you must complete the online community signboard application form. Early applications recommended, subject to availability.
Please note: Signboards must be no larger than 2.4m x 1.2m in size.
