Inspection of Council's buildings is currently under way to assess their condition and identify any renewal and maintenance work required.
The building condition audit is expected to run until the end of 2026, with contractors inspecting 214 Council buildings across the city.
From sports pavilions to community halls, libraries and many more, the audit will give Council information on the condition of building assets to assist in planning for future renewal and maintenance.
Inspection contractors will walk through buildings to physically inspect and record conditions. Inspectors will be wearing high-vis tops, ID badges and will take photos of buildings during their inspections.
A formal building condition audit takes place every four years and is an important way for Council to ensure building assets are safe and fit for purpose.
