Burgoyne Reserve Seawall Repair Works Completed
Construction works to repair the coastal seawall at Burgoyne Reserve in Williamstown was completed in December 2025, with some additional remediation works planned for early 2026 to address further areas of deterioration identified during construction.
The seawall was assessed as being in poor structural condition, with several sections posing immediate and future risks to public safety, access, and nearby assets. To address these issues, the project delivered like‑for‑like patch repairs to damaged and deteriorated sections of the seawall and its concrete capping.
This project was jointly funded by Hobsons Bay City Council and the Department of Environment, Energy and Climate Action (DEECA).
