The Warm Winter Read is a Public Libraries Victoria (PLV) campaign for adult readers (aged 16 and above).
Through public libraries across Victoria, we are encouraging adult readers to develop long-lasting reading habits by tracking the days they read during Winter.
Research shows that reading for pleasure has many benefits which include reducing depression and dementia and increasing empathy and self-esteem. Just six minutes of silent reading can also reduce stress levels by up to 68%. A quick and easy way to reset during the day.
