W.L.J. Crofts Reserve

W.L.J. Crofts Reserve in Altona North is home to the Altona North Cricket Club, Western Jets Football Club, Williamstown Superules Football Club and Agility Dog Club of Victoria.

 

A multimillion-dollar redevelopment of the reserve has been completed and includes:

  • a new pavilion, including player and umpire change rooms, a social space including kitchen and bar, Western Jets gym and meeting space
  • a car park upgrade with paths, accessible car spaces and lighting
  • the redevelopment of Ovals 2 and 3, including drainage and irrigation
  • new LED floodlighting on Ovals 2 and 3
  • four synthetic cricket practice nets
  • an upgrade of the open spaces including a new playground and foothpaths.

 

Council contributed $8.2 million towards this redevelopment, the Victorian Government contributed $2.25 million through the West Gate Tunnel grants program, and AFL Victoria contributed $250,000.
