H5 bird flu has now been detected in Hobsons Bay (Thursday 1 October 2026). Please be vigilant and if you see sick or dead birds or wildlife, follow the guidelines of the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action.

Norah McIntyre Reserve

Council upgraded Norah McIntyre Reserve, Altona, in 2019. The upgrade included:

a new play space
new park furniture
a basketball half court to accommodate older children and teenagers
updated concrete pathways
a lighting upgrade
new landscaping and plantings
a new post and rail fence along the perimeter of the reserve
