H5 bird flu has now been detected in Hobsons Bay (Thursday 1 October 2026). Please be vigilant and if you see sick or dead birds or wildlife, follow the guidelines of the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action.

Planned union rally and march

A union rally and march will take place on Tuesday 20 October, 11.30am to 12.30pm. Pier Street, Altona will be closed to southbound traffic during this time. The rally is protected industrial action as part of enterprise agreement bargaining. Traffic management will be in place. Thank you for your patience.
