Community connector and support program

This program provides free and confidential support to individuals, couples and families who are experiencing hardship. The program aims to improve the health and wellbeing of Hobsons Bay residents by supporting you in time of need. 

Program staff are qualified workers with many years’ experience in areas of social work and counselling. The Community Connectors can provide short-term support, which can include information, referral to other services, advocacy and follow-up support.

  • food and material aid
  • financial hardship including budgeting advice
  • family and domestic violence
  • mental health needs
  • grief and loss
  • housing issues
  • parenting and carer responsibilities
  • drug and alchohol
  • gambling
