Hobsons Bay Top 20 Queer Anthems

Music helps us express and celebrate who we are! This Midsumma, we are putting together Hobsons Bay’s Top 20 Queer Anthems of all time!

You can also go into the draw to win a $100 voucher to a local rainbow-owned business from our Rainbow Business Directory.
We can’t wait to share our Top 20 when we tally the votes!
Presented as part of Midsumma Westside by Hobsons Bay City Council.
Competition terms and conditions
Entry into the competition means you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions:
1. The competition is promoted by Hobsons Bay City Council (Council).
2. Entry is open to all ages.
3. Only one entry is allowed per person.
4. Entrants enter by completing and submitting the voting form at Midsumma Westside Top Queer Anthems
5. Closing time for the entries is Sunday 1 February 2026 at 11.59pm (AEST).
6. The competition will be drawn on Wednesday 4 February 2026 at the Altona Civic Centre.
7. One winner will be randomly selected. The winner will be contacted by email provided on voting form. The winning participant’s name will not be publicised.
8. The prize is a $100 voucher to use at businesses from the Hobsons Bay Rainbow Business Directory.
9. The prize will be arranged digitally via email.
10. The Council’s decision is final, and Council will not enter into correspondence regarding the competition result.
11. The Council reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entry which, in the opinion of the Promoter, includes objectionable content, profanity, potentially insulting, inflammatory or defamatory statements, disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms & Conditions of Entry or who has, in the opinion of Council, engaged in conduct in entering the promotion which is fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or generally damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the promotion and/or Council.
12. Council staff are not eligible for the prize.
