Development Contributions Plan

Development contributions are payments or works-in-kind towards the provision of infrastructure made by the proponent of a new development. Council has two Development Contributions Plans within the Hobsons Bay Planning Scheme:

In accordance with both these plans, the development contributions rates have been indexed for the 2025-26 financial year below. These rates should be read in conjunction with the relevant schedules of the Hobsons Bay Planning Scheme, and Development Contributions Plans available on the DTP website.

Levy type and contribution rate

  • Community Infrastructure Levy Per Dwelling ($1,207.60 contribution rate)
  • Development Infrastructure Levy Per Dwelling ($2,068.16 contribution rate)

  • per dwelling $17,432.66
  • per m2 retail floorspace GLFA $1,602.83
  • per m2 commercial floorspace GLFA $413.88

 

Community Infrastructure Levy and Contribution Rate

  • per dwelling $978.49
