Council has received confirmation from the Department of Transport and Planning that the architectural and landscaping designs for the Williamstown Swimming and Life Saving Club have been approved through the State Project planning assessment process.
This approval enables the redevelopment to proceed to the next phase of delivery.
The project team will now complete the detailed design phase, which will refine technical and operational elements of the approved redevelopment before commencing procurement for construction.
Council wishes to thank the Hobsons Bay community for its engagement throughout the planning stages of the project. The redevelopment of the Williamstown Swimming and Life Saving Club will incorporate much needed improvements and modernisation to the emergency services facility, supporting life saving and safety outcomes for the community.
Further updates will be provided as project milestones progress.
