The Minister for Planning has approved Amendment C133hbay to the Hobsons Bay Planning Scheme.
The amendment came into operation on 11 February 2026 when a notice was published in the Victoria Government Gazette.
The Amendment implements the findings of the Newport Structure Plan 2021 and Inner Newport Heritage Gap Study 2022 through the introduction and application of local policy, schedules to residential zones and overlays, and associated mapping and related changes to the Hobsons Bay Planning Scheme.
