Hobsons Bay City Council’s roadmap for the next four years has been created and released to the community for feedback.
After months of community consultation, listening to what matters most to the people of Hobsons Bay, Draft Council Plan 2025-29 is now on public exhibition.
At the same time, three other key strategic documents are available for community feedback:
All these plans work together to set the strategic direction for Hobsons Bay. The draft Council Plan also includes an update of the long-term Community Vision, which is the broad, overarching goal for what the community wants Hobsons Bay to look like in 2040.
This vision helps shape the long-term plans for how Council manages its finances and its assets. These updated plans now cover up to 2035.
The Council Plan and Health, Safety and Wellbeing Plan set more specific goals for what Council wants to achieve over the next four years, including health and wellbeing outcomes with a focus on vulnerable members of the community. They help Council make progress towards achieving the Community Vision, and align with the plans to manage finances and assets.

After reviewing all community feedback, these plans will be presented for adoption at the Council meeting in December.
While reviewing these documents, the community is also invited to provide feedback on how it would like to be consulted each year as Council puts together its annual budget.
