Help shape plan for Hobsons Bay’s future

The community is being called on to have its say on shaping the future of Hobsons Bay. 

Community consultation on Council Plan 2025-29 is now open, giving residents the chance to inform Council’s priorities for the next four years. Consultation will be open until Friday 6 June.   

The Annual Budget 2025-26 submission process has also commenced and is open until 21 May for community to provide feedback. 

The Council Plan will shape Council’s annual operational plans for the next four years, guiding the projects, programs, advocacy and initiatives into which Council invests. It will also include Council’s health and wellbeing plan for the next four years. 

Community members can have their say at participate.hobsonsbay.vic.gov.au.  

Council has ensured opportunities for all members of the community to contribute, with workshops and activities for people from various community groups and age ranges. 

There is a special survey for young people, ensuring everyone can tell Council what’s most important to them. 

There will also be a variety of formal and informal community engagement sessions. 

Residents can contribute in various ways, with engagement session details available on the Participate Hobsons Bay website where they can also access an online survey. 

Residents also have the opportunity to provide further deliberative contribution via a series of three workshops in July, available through nominating as part of the survey or at the drop-in sessions. 

People who complete the survey can win one of three $100 gift cards. There are also three $100 gift cards on offer for young people who complete the under-18s survey.
