Hobsons Bay City Council is celebrating 2025 Cultural Diversity Week with a range of activities and events for the whole community.
The occasion is an opportunity to embrace and share the wide range of cultures in the municipality, with more than 120 languages spoken across Hobsons Bay.
Council is facilitating Cultures of the World from 17 to 23 March, a program of free activities providing the community an opportunity to explore, learn, and celebrate the many cultures that make Hobsons Bay’s community so unique.
From experiencing Maori culture to a Turkish tealight-making workshop, mini pizza making to Vietnamese cooking classes, there's something for everyone.

“We are so lucky to have such a vibrant blend of cultures in Hobsons Bay. This diversity is one of our greatest assets.
“Council is working in partnership on this program with eight community centres and groups, helping deliver cultural celebration across 10 suburbs in Hobsons Bay this year.
“I would encourage everyone to celebrate Cultural Diversity Week this year by coming along to any of the fantastic events and taking part in this special program.”
