Filming for an international production will take place in Altona on Tuesday 11 March.
To facilitate the filming and for the safety of the cast, crew and the public, the production will be closing the following streets to all through traffic from 5am:
- Queen Street (between Sargood Street & Davies Street)
- Pier Street (from the Queen Street roundabout to Altona Pier)
- The Esplanade (between Bent Street & Sargood Street)
To facilitate the filming, the production will be parking equipment vehicles as close as possible to the filming area. These carparks will be closed to the public on the day:
- Carpark off Bent Street (top of Weaver Reserve)
- Carpark at rear of St Eanswythe's Church (off Valletta Lane)
Both Weaver Reserve and Logan Reserve will be closed to the public.
The planned filming on Wednesday 12 March has been cancelled.
Businesses closed for filming
All businesses between Queen Street, Pier Street, Valetta Lane & The Esplanade will be closed on the day. There will also be no Altona Beach Market.
Australia Post and Coles will be open as usual. Please access via the Blyth Street end of Pier Street.
Altona Medical Centre and Salvation Army will be open as usual. The production crew will make sure that access is provided to all patients, employees and customers of these two locations. However, please allow a little extra time for the production crew to provide safe access.
