Summer fun for young people across Hobsons Bay
Published on 05 December 2025
A summer of fun awaits young people across Hobsons Bay, with the return of Council’s Summer in the Bay series.
The series features a collection of free and low-cost events and activities taking place from January through to the end of February.
Young people aged 12 to 25 will have the opportunity to get involved in a range of events, from movie nights to craft activities and surfing experience at URBNSURF, to name a few.
Some activities require advanced booking, and age restrictions vary depending on the activity. To book or for information, visit hobsonsbay.vic.gov.au/SummerInTheBay or head to a local library to collect a hard-copy program booklet.

Quotes attributable to Mayor of Hobsons Bay, Cr Diana Grima:
“The summer months are a great time to be out and about in Hobsons Bay. Summer in the Bay gives our young people great opportunities to enjoy the warmer weather, meet new people and have some fun.
“There are so many great activities and events to get involved with, so why not get out there and give them a go.”
