The Australian Services Union is taking strike action on Wednesday 17 June. Residential bin collections will continue as usual, but some council services may be affected on the day. Cr Grima is passionate about improving community services and local infrastructure. She is a second-generation volunteer at Laverton Community Integrated Services helping with food relief around Laverton. She has also volunteered and played for Laverton Magpies Football Club. Cr Grima is in her second term, serving as Mayor for the first time in 2025-26, having served as deputy mayor in 2021-22 and 2022-23.
