Save up your soft plastics, e-waste and bulky polystyrene for recycling at our next drop-off day.
Electronic waste
E-waste covers all items that are powered by batteries or that plug into electric outlets. Most of these items can be refurbished for reuse or recycled.

Please note we can only accept household quantities of e-waste on this drop-off day (not commercial quantities).
Batteries and vapes
Batteries and vapes cannot be thrown away in any household bin. Please bring them along to this drop-off event for safe disposal and recycling.
Bulky polystyrene and packing beans
There are three main types of polystyrene; we'll be accepting two types on the day.
Accepted on drop-off day:
1. Bulky polystyrene (technical term: Expanded Polystyrene/EPS), which is bulky, white and most commonly used as protective transport packaging for TVs and appliances, fish and market boxes
2. Packing and bean bag beans (must be contained in a bag)
NOT accepted on drop-off day:
3. Packaging foam, which includes food containers, meat trays and soft, flexible packaging foams
Soft plastics
Soft plastics collected through our drop-off day will go to the APR soft plastics processing facility where they will be recycled into new soft plastics.
Common soft plastics can be scrunched up easily, including:
- plastic bags
- bread bags
- pasta and rice bags
- chip packets
- lolly wrappers
- bubble wrap
- cling wrap
- frozen food bags
Please make sure soft plastics are clean before you drop them off.
