Reducing your energy consumption can save you money and reduce your environmental impact. Council has partnered with the Metro Community Power Hub (MCPH), delivered by Yarra Energy Foundation (YEF), to provide you with simple energy advice you can trust. The Community Power Hub program is funded by Sustainability Victoria on behalf of the Victorian Government.

From solar to insulation, the energy advisers at MCPH can provide advice on all aspects of energy efficiency in the home or small business, helping you make an informed decision.

The MCPH can connect you with trusted installers through the MCPH solar and all-electric home program, as well as providing expert advice on: 

  • Solar and battery systems 

  • Efficient electric heating and cooling, hot water systems and cooking appliances  

  • Accessing rebates for solar, batteries, and upgrading your appliances  

  • Comparing quotes for solar, batteries, and major appliances  

  • Insulation and draughtproofing  

  • Window treatments—glazing, secondary glazing, shading etc. 

  • Lighting  

  • Understanding your bill 

  • Other home energy related queries
