Hobsons Bay Professional Networks
Hobsons Bay Youth Services and partner organisations facilitate networks that enable professions to share information and resources, reflect on work practices, and build connections.
What is it?
This network aims to:
- distribute up to date information about the youth sector at local, state and federal levels.
- offer opportunities for representatives to share information about new initiatives.
- provide networking opportunities to create stronger working relationships and build resources for young people in Hobsons Bay.
Who is it for?
Professionals in youth focused roles including staff from schools, community health services, not-for-profit organisations, government departments and agencies.

- Wednesday 7 May
- Wednesday 6 August
- Wednesday 22 October
Time: 8.45am arrival for a 9.15am start, light refreshments and networking from 10.30am.
Where is it provided?
Youth Services, Level 1, Newport Community Hub, 13-15 Mason Street, Newport, 3015.

What is it?
A supportive network for youth counselling professionals working with young people in Melbourne’s Western regions. Counsellors can develop skills and knowledge, build networks, seek advice and share resources.
Who is it for?
To be eligible you must be employed and practice in a wellbeing role in the Western suburbs of Melbourne. Members are required to attend at least 2 meetings per year. All discussions are confidential.

- Tuesday 11 March: Orygen Youth Health (referring processes and eligibility criteria)
- Tuesday 13 May: Supporting refugee families in school
- Tuesday 1 July: How to have conversations about suicide
- Tuesday 9 September: QWEST - How to support families with young people in LGBTIQA + community
- Tuesday 11 November: Alcohol and other drugs
Time: 9.30-10.45am
