Emerging and early-career artists working with music or sound are invited to apply for the Artist-in-Residence program Soundstep Studios.
Running from August – December 2026, this program will provide two artists with free access to the recording and mixing studio to develop a music or sound project.
Based at Woods Street Arts Space in Laverton, Soundstep Studios is a non-profit collective offering westside creatives affordable access to a professional recording studio and skills development opportunities through workshops and events.
Selected artists will have autonomous access to the recording studio on Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays for 6 months. Participation is free, and artists are required to deliver a final project at the completion of the residency.
