Airtime
Airtime is a public art project that highlights the creative talents of young people in Hobsons Bay.
Artworks are reproduced and printed on large flags and exhibited for a three-month period on the flag poles at Altona Meadows Skate Park.
Since its inception, Airtime has showcased hundreds of works by young artists from the west, and provides a creative experience for those of us who live or travel through the area.
Expressions of interest are accepted annually, around April each year via the Creative Opportunities page. Subscribe to the Creative City e-newsletter for updates on application rounds and other opportunities, news and events in Hobsons Bay.

In Decomposing by Hannah Savage
On display June to August 2026
In decomposing invites us to reflect on the lifecycles of commonly discarded organic 'waste' materials.
Climate change poses increasing risks to the wellbeing of people and ecosystems. Food and garden bin services are a local example of an accessible solution. In disposing of waste thoughtfully and contributing to circular food systems values of environmental care are exchanged and circulated within urban communities, gardening a culture of hope and resilience.
