2026 Anzac Day road closures

On Saturday 25 April 2026, Anzac Day, there will be local road closures in place as our community gathers for dawn services.

Altona

Between 5am and 7am. Closures at: 

  • Sargood Street, between Railway Street South and Queen Street;
  • Blyth Street between McBain Street and Bent Street
  • Queen Street between McBain Street and Bent Street
  • Pier Street between Queen Street and Civic Parade
  • Railway Street South between McBain Street and Bent Street
  • Civic Parade between Bent Street and Mc Bain Street

Williamstown

Between 4.45am and 7am. Closures at:

  • Ferguson St, between James St / Aitken St and the roundabout
  • The Strand, section in front of The Cannons
  • Nelson Place, section in front of the Holy Trinity Anglican Church
