Exhibition: Housing styles of Hobsons Bay
Next date: Saturday, 18 April 2026 | 10:00 AM
to Monday, 18 May 2026 | 06:00 PM
From Williamstown’s Victorian bluestone, to the Nissen huts of the postwar migrant hostels, Hobsons Bay’s suburbs have been shaped by waves of settlement, industry, migration, and social change.
Take a stroll through the Williamstown Library’s Heritage Room and upstairs Gallery Space to view an exhibition of items from our Heritage Collection, other collecting institutions, and the Hobsons Bay community. Enjoy reminiscing or learning something new about your own home or the diverse streetscapes you traverse each day around Hobsons Bay.
If you would like to be guided through the exhibition by our Local History Librarian, email heritage@hobsonsbay.vic.gov.au to book an appointment.
Exhibition available for general viewing during opening hours. Bookings not required.
