TAXI!

TAXI! is an emerging local artist and musician. Though their visual art has been exhibited as part of Midsumma Westside (Stand Out, 2025) and Melbourne Fringe Festival (Resonate - Wunder Gym 2025), their music has yet to escape the confines of their bedroom.

Self-described as 'synthpop on a budget', TAXI! combines free soundfonts, layered vocals and the occasional keytar to form their sound. Their instrumentals draw inspiration from new wave, dream pop and video game soundtracks, and their lyrics are formed using a combination of old notes and nonsensical phrases. During their Soundstep Studios residency, TAXI! is recording their debut EP.
