Hobsons Bay Arts Society`

Hobsons Bay Arts Society Incorporated is situated in the municipality of Hobsons Bay in Victoria, Australia. We are located at the Louis Joel Arts & Community Centre, 5 Sargood Street, Altona. We aim to help & encourage residents of Hobsons Bay and the wider community to pursue their artistic talents & love of art, welcoming new members of all ages and artistic abilities who would like to meet people with like interests in a friendly, creative environment. Art tuition sessions, including classes for children, are conducted by talented tutors with many years experience covering most mediums. The class environment is friendly and encouraging - not only do our students learn new skills, but form new friendships too! There are also social art groups for those wishing to create in company. HBAS holds regular member art exhibitions and, along with our major sponsors Qenos and Hobsons Bay City Council, is proud to present the 5X7 Art Prize, an annual small format art competition open to all residents of the western suburbs of Melbourne.
