Mills Street Transport Safety Project

Council has been delivering road safety improvements in the Altona North area. The next stage of the project includes the construction of raised platform intersections on Mills Street between Blackshaws Road and Mason Street to reduce traffic speeds and improve safety.

New raised intersections are proposed at May Street and Cresser Street. This treatment has been designed to address speeding concerns, traffic collision data, and to improve compliance with new 40 speed limits on cross streets.

Council is seeking feedback on this project and letters will be sent to affected residents and landowners to facilitate consultation.
