Fundamentals of Drawing workshops at Woods Street Arts Space

Hobsons Bay Arts Society Foundation Drawing Classes are designed for young people ages 18 and over, interested in acquiring drawing skills, building confidence, meeting new friends and having some creative fun! 

Whether you're a beginner, intermediate or more experienced, everyone is welcome to come along. 

All drawing materials will be supplied, including charcoal, paper, erasers, easels and more. 

Key elements will be covered, including basic shapes and fundamental form, tonal values, edges, shading, texture, composition and perspective. Genres may include still life, landscapes, figures, portraits, flowers, birds.

The key objective of the course is to build your confidence in sketching, drawing and learning to see angles, shapes, proportion, overlapping lines, edges and more. 

Registrations for these workshops are $5 and include a hot drink and biscuit.
