Altona Swimming Club

The Altona Swimming Club is located in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne Australia. Originally established as the Newport Amateur Swimming Club in 1968 the club was relocated to Altona North in 1985. The club currently operates out of the 25m indoor pool at the Bayfit Leisure centre in Altona North and is affiliated with the following bodies: Swimming Victoria (State) Metro West (District) The Club offers a family orientated environment where parents as well as children are able to participate, where the emphasis is on a balanced approach to both personal improvement and competitiveness The club has 80 active members from the ages of 6 to 55 years. Members participate in the weekly Club nights, Club representative squads at District and State level, and State and National Events. Over the years the club has had representatives in several Para Olympic competitions. Club nights are held on Sundays (exluding School Holidays) in the afternooon during winter months and mornings during summer months offering a range of different formats.
