Sugar Fed Leopards

Breaking hearts and starting dance-floor fires since 2013, Sugar Fed Leopards play sweet original music that emanates from somewhere in the sequinned space between disco, soul, doo-wop and rock n roll. This blazing septet sizzles on stage with smoking hot costumes, tight dance moves and sweet harmonies, backed by a cranking rhythm section and soaring saxophone.

Sello Molefi

Born in South Africa’s Sotho-speaking city of Kroonstad, Sello Molefi has carved out an illustrious career CV, appearing in stage productions of The Lion King across South Africa, Australia and London’s West End as well as composing music for various film and theatre projects.

The Pearly Shells

Over more than 15 years, The Pearly Shells have gained a reputation as one of Melbourne’s premier Jazz, Swing and RnB bands with a classic style and look reminiscent of the Golden Age of Basie, Goodman, Ellington and Brother Ray Charles.

Famous for their Swingin’ back beat sound and Hollywood-style, luminescent clam-shell stands, The Pearlys have been providing atmospheric soundtracks and irresistible dance grooves in bars, clubs, festivals and dancehalls as well as at parties, receptions and other “doos” uncountable.

TEK TEK Ensemble
Yusupha Ngum and the Affia Band

Affia Band

TEK TEK Ensemble

TEK TEK Ensemble perform virtuosic and original music inspired by tropical jungles, late night discos, and 1960s chic.

They captivate audiences with exclamatory trumpet, hedonistic violins and organ, deeply pulsating drums and bass, wild psychedelic electric guitar and synthesizer, and a rich smearing of harmonized singing thrown on top. TEK TEK Ensemble formed in 2010 and have performed countless times around Australia and the world.

Yusupha Ngum and the Affia Band

One of Gambia’s favourite sons, Yusupha Ngum, leads all-star line-up the Affia Band to deliver an Afro odyssey of jazz, blues and funk fusion that leaves audiences elevated and captivated.

The sound is a melting pot of Afro flavours peppered with traditional elements, jazz, funk and brought together beautifully with world class musicianship.
