FAQs

Do I need to book for the event?

Summer Sounds events are free to attend. Booking is not required.

What should I bring?

We all know Melbourne weather can be unpredictable!

Movies by the Bay screenings are outdoor events so please keep an eye on the forecast, dress appropriately for the conditions and bring appropriate sun protection.

We recommend bringing your own picnic rug or chairs and find a spot on the grass throughout the day. You’re also welcome to bring your own food and drinks (please no alcohol).

Will food and drinks be available to purchase?

Food and drinks will not be available to purchase at the events. However, there are lots of tasty food options in Hobsons Bay. We recommend grabbing a bite to eat or picking up some takeaway from local eateries before the event.

Alternatively, you're welcome to bring your own food and drinks (please no alcohol or glass).

Will the event be called off if it’s raining?

These are outdoor events and in the case of heavy rain or dangerous weather, the event may need to be cancelled in the lead up to, or on the day of the event.

Please follow us on Facebook and Instagram for updates.

Is parking available?

Street parking in surrounding streets is limited, and we strongly encourage people to walk, cycle or catch public transport where possible.

Can I bring my pet?

Pets are welcome but must be on a leash at all times.

Is there medical help available if I need it?

There will be a certified First Aid provider on site at the event.
