Addressing traffic issues on Shane Avenue and Seabrook Boulevard were both identified as key actions in Council's draft Local Area Movement Plan West Package, which is currently on public exhibition on Participate Hobsons Bay.
Shane Avenue and its surrounding streets have seen increasing traffic issues over the last 15 years. The biggest concern we have heard from residents is speeding cars within Shane Avenue and Catherine Road while trying to avoid heavy traffic on Point Cook Road.
More recently, Council has heard community concerns of increased traffic congestion in the northern section of Shane Avenue, which parallels the issues on Seabrook Boulevard.
Council is asking local residents to provide feedback on their experience and observations on Shane Avenue traffic and any solutions you can think of to address them. You can provide your feedback here.
Come and chat to members of the project team about issues and potential solutions in the Shane Avenue area at our community drop in session.
