Hobsons Bay Safer Speed Limits Staging Plan

Safer-Speed-Limits-Staging-Plan.jpg

We have been granted $30,000 from the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) for the development of a staging plan to implement safer speed limits and associated traffic calming across Hobsons Bay.

In general, the plan will nominate local access streets/roads and activity areas for 40 km/h speed limits, and the main through streets/roads for 50 km/h speed limits. There will also be consideration for 30 km/h speed limits in a small number of pedestrian-priority areas. Arterial roads managed by the Department of Transport and Planning (VicRoads) will not be included in the plan.

The first draft of the safer speed limits staging plan is expected in mid-2024 with community consultation to follow.
