The Substation warmly invites you to its first Neighbourhood Night of the year - a special event for Hobsons Bay locals to gather, connect and experience the power of art in an iconic building.

Join CEO Nuala Furtado, newly appointed executive producer Nicholas Tee and their Local Community Reference Group for an exclusive (just for locals) viewing of their new exhibition Material Issue by Marina Rosenfeld. Enjoy light refreshments while meeting fellow locals and The Substation team.

Piloted across 2025, The Substation Neighbourhood Night is an opportunity for local community members to gather and receive insights into The Substation’s artistic programming. In this edition, meet newly appointed executive producer Nicholas Tee and hear about what's coming up at The Susbtation for 2026. This program is a unique platform for locals to meet each other and The Substation’s core team, building local connections through arts and culture.
