Hobsons Bay City Council adopted the 2018-19 Budget featuring a record $43.53 million capital works program.
The 2018-19 budget is the highest spend in capital works projects Council has ever committed. It includes $7.89 million for roads; $3.27 million for footpaths and cycle ways; $12.23 million towards open space improvements; $14.89 million for buildings, including the Altona Early Years Hub, Altona Sports Centres and Williamstown Mechanics Institute; and $4.67 million for plant equipment, such as library resources, machinery and information technology.
