Order new/additional/different sized bins

Following a one-year review in July 2021 of Hobsons Bay’s kerbside waste service, Council implemented a range of changes to further improve our waste management system. These changes included:

  • introducing weekly collections for rubbish bins (red lid)
  • transitioning food and garden organics (light-green lid) bin collections to fortnightly
  • trialling the use of compostable paper bags for food waste

Changing your bin size

Given recent collection frequency changes you may now find that the size of the bin no longer suits your needs.
