Water tanks

Water tanks are becoming more popular, due to the dry weather we have experienced over the past years. The higher demand on the water supplies has seen the Government change the Building Regulations to include water tanks as part of new residential developments. This water will be used for the flushing of sanitary facilities.

Water tanks can also be used for irrigation of gardens. In most cases a Building Permit will not be required if it complies with certain Building Regulations and the works are carried out by a licensed plumber.

If you are unsure about obtaining a Building Permit or have any other questions please call Council or see attached links below.
