Social Impact Assessment Guidelines 2011
Council may consider social impacts as part of planning permit applications and planning scheme amendments. Social impacts can be positive or negative. They include changes to the composition of local communities, and access to basic needs such as affordable housing, employment and services.
These guidelines have been prepared to assist applicants and consultants prepare a Social Impact Assessment. They aim to ensure that, where appropriate, social considerations are an integral part of the development assessment or planning scheme amendment process.
