Minimising the Harm of Alcohol Policy Statement
Alcohol is a part of the Australian culture for many people, with drinking often associated with socialising and relaxation. However, some groups are consuming alcohol in a risky manner, despite a decrease in per-capita alcohol consumption nationally.
This policy statement aims to mitigate the negative impacts of alcohol by adopting a harm minimisation approach, focusing on demand, supply and harm reduction.
