Problem Gambling on EGMs Policy Statement


In 2017-18, $47.4 million was lost on electronic gaming machines (EGMs) in Hobsons Bay, translating to $129,965 per day or $636 for every adult resident. 

Council is concerned about the impact of gambling harm. This policy statement defines our position on EGMs proposed within Hobsons Bay and sets out our commitment to minimising the negative impacts of EGM gambling for our community.
